Cayennetta is a bushy variety that has a tidy growth habit and is very suitable for growing in both smaller and larger containers. The plants produce plenty of elongated fruit that hang down, are thin-fleshed (so are good for drying) and are about 70 – 75mm long. The fruit turn from green to red as they ripen and are a manageable heat that is not over-the-top hot.
All things considered, this is an excellent choice for gardeners new to chilli growing.
This variety is similar to the very popular chilli variety called Apache. Like Apache, Cayennetta is easy to grow and produces compact, attractive plants that do well in small pots. Cayennetta produces fruit that are much milder than Apache fruit. They are a similar shape, though are a little larger Apache fruit.
