Coriandrum sativum

An exceptional coriander that is the most bolt resistant variety we have grown. The plants can stand for two or three weeks longer than Santos (which we also sell) before flowering. The down side is their flavour is noticeably milder – though to some people's tastes this might be a plus. However, if resistance to bolting is your priority, then Calypso is the variety of choice.

Seeds should be sown 'a little and often' outdoors from mid-spring to late summer for a continuous harvest. In milder areas it can also be over-wintered in a tunnel or greenhouse. It must be grown in full sun, and should always be well watered. The leaves can be harvested at any stage under a cut-and-grow-again system. Does well in pots.
