Brassica oleracea, subsp. capitata
Seed type: F1
Tundra is cross between savoy and white cabbages. Because of its pedigree, it is good either cooked or eaten raw in winter salads. Renown for its cold tolerance, the plants can be left standing in the garden overwinter, where they will remain until March or April.
Sow seeds for transplant production in late spring (15 May is a good date to aim for). Transplant outdoors in mid-summer and begin harvesting in the autumn.
