Solanum lycopersicum
Seed type: F1
The plants of Red Alert have a bush-like growth habit and don’t need to be pruned. They are ideal for container growing and are perfectly suited for cultivation in cold frames and small plastic greenhouses. And, because they mature quite quickly, they are well worth trying outdoors in southern gardens. The fruits are small, measuring about 38mm in diameter, and in our trials conducted both in 1999 and 2009, they were rated highly for flavour.
Sow seeds from March to May to produce transplants going into a tunnel or greenhouse. For transplants going outdoors, sow seeds in April.
Approx number of seed per pack: 20
